Culturally, the importance of Greek cannot be underestimated. The language of philosophy and of the early Church has profoundly shaped Western thought. The Acropolis, Agora, Socrates, Plato, the magical Greek islands, feta, taramasalata, moussaka, and ouzo are all popular images of what makes Greece so attractive.
Each Greek verb has two forms and verbs change according to person, number, and tense. The future tense is almost as easy as it is in English, the word tha serving the roll of 'will.' Adjectives agree with their nouns according to any of three genders, and number.
